11 Seasons, 12 Years, 177 Episodes Finished Filming The Walking Dead
The Walking Dead production team has announced the completion of filming for the last episode of season 11, which will be the final episode for the project.
The writers presented photos from the last day, and co-star Norman Reedus thanked the fans of the show, noting that it was an unforgettable experience. The creators themselves addressed the fans:
The final season of 24 episodes was divided into several parts, now the second is coming to the final – the third will start after the end of season 7 of the spin-off Fear the Walking Dead . The final episode of the main series is set to air later this year.
However, the universe of The Walking Dead will not end there – the spin-off mentioned above has already been extended for season 8, and this is only one of the four “neighboring” stories. In 2023, a new series about Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and Maggie (Lauren Cohan) will be released, and a show about Daryl Dixon with Carol and an anthology in the same world are also being prepared.
In addition, the development of films about Rick Grimes continues, which should continue the character’s story after the series.
