Apple Foxconn plans to build a new factory in Saudi Arabia

Foxconn, one of Apple’s main suppliers, is in talks with Saudi Arabia to build a new plant in the region. The report states that Saudi Arabia is currently considering a proposal from Foxconn to build a dual-line semiconductor contract manufacturing plant, also known as a foundry. This new facility will be located in the Neom area.

The news also comes amid ongoing tensions between the US and China. In addition to Saudi Arabia, the company also plans to build a manufacturing project in the United Arab Emirates. In other words, it plans to move its manufacturing sites outside of China for technologies not related to consumer electronic gadgets.
