The dev.by edition talked to the employees of the Minsk office of Wargaming and found out their reaction to the news about the company’s departure from Russia and Belarus.
As it turned out, until today, “it was broadcast that the Minsk office would not be closed,” so the company’s statement turned out to be very unexpected for everyone.
The liquidation of the office should take four months, and employees are waiting for dismissal or relocation – options for the latter will be offered individually, based on the “value” of the employee. As for compensation, they are promised, but the conditions remain unknown.
According to one employee, there will be “a large percentage of layoffs, at least 50%.” It is expected that relocation will be offered to Lithuania, Poland, and the Czech Republic. Salary conditions may remain the same, but net income may be cut off by the tax laws of another country.
The employees of the Minsk office do not know what awaits them next, and the question of finding an alternative remains open. It is reported that team leaders “urgently call up the teams, but they still do not have all the information.”
Today, Wargaming, which is responsible for World of Tanks , World of Warplanes and World of Warships, announced that it is leaving Russia and Belarus, leaving its business in the countries. Since March 31, the Russian company Lesta Studio has been responsible for local support .
