God of War graphics downgraded to PlayStation 1 and turned into Japanese RPG with turn-based combat

The short video tried to imagine what God of War (2018) would have looked like if the game had been released during the PlayStation 1

On the YouTube channel “64 bits” presented a demo of God of War (2018). In the original project Santa Monica Studio, Kratos comes under the control of the player and the developers offer a third-person view.

In the demeika, not only the graphics have changed, but also the location of the camera and the combat system. Real-time battles have been replaced by turn-based battles with options in the spirit of Japanese RPGs.

In the description, it is noted that Breath of Fire IV for the PlayStation 1 served as the basis for the demo.

Despite the changed graphics, the recognizable character traits of God of War have survived.

The release of the PC version of God of War is scheduled for January 14, 2022. Recently, we unveiled a trailer with features of the PC version.
