The Polish brand of commercial and industrial memory is expanding its offer of industrial DDR4 memory modules. DDR4 SODIMM ref. GR4S32G320D8I is a 32 GB, 3200 MHz memory that can be successfully used in embedded systems with high processing power requirements. The compact form factor of SODIMM modules allows for exceptionally large amounts of RAM (up to 2x 32 GB) in systems based on the smallest ITX motherboards. DDR4 GR4S32G320D8I is designed to operate in a wide temperature range. This means that the memory is designed to operate in applications subject to variable environmental conditions from -40°C to +85°C. The manufacturer also offers a module version for the range from 0 to +85°C.
Stable operation in an extended temperature range is one of the key conditions that the selected industrial DRAM memory models must meet. In addition to the appropriate design of the device, ensuring this criterion requires control during production and finished products in a properly prepared environment. Therefore, industrial components designed to operate over a wide temperature range are subjected to a thermal acceleration process, the purpose of which is to detect as much damage as possible that may occur during the first period of use. This means that the memory is subjected to a procedure in which hundreds of TB of data are written and checked into the DRAM. Such a test allows detecting almost all damages located in the interface or matrix of memory cells.
