LG unveils unique S95QR audio system

LG has unveiled audio products that it will showcase at CES next year, in particular the jewel in the lineup: a premium soundbar that the company claims has “the world’s first center speaker.

“The LG S95QR soundbar has 810W output power and 9.1.5 channels of surround sound. These are five active channels, three of which are located on the soundbar itself, and two of which are in separate rear speakers. The company says that the uplinks provide lifelike sounds that are made even more immersive by a center speaker for clearer dialogue.

LG’s premium soundbar supports Dolby Atmos, DTS: X and even IMAX Enhanced for 3D sound. The wireless rear speakers it ships with also has six channels instead of four as in previous models, with four front / side speakers and two boost speakers. In addition, the model has a more sensitive receiver, which allows for more distance between the soundbar and the corresponding rear speakers and subwoofer. It has been designed with a more stable wireless connection to also eliminate dropouts and delays in audio output. In its announcement, LG is introducing the model as an option for gamers thanks to its Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) and Automatic Low Latency Mode (ALLM) features.
