Engineers from Omsk have developed the first laptop based on the domestic eight-core processor “Baikal-M”. The device was named BITBLAZE Titan.
“The Linux operating system in the Alt or Astra version will be installed on the BITBLAZE Titan model. The main emphasis of the manufacturers was on convenience and safety. The laptop is maximally protected from cyber attacks and leakage of confidential data,” the release says.
It is reported that specialists under the leadership of Maxim Koposov have been working on this solution for about a year. In addition to the Russian processor, other domestic components are used in the laptop: the case, motherboard, SSD, as well as the cooling system. The model is being prepared for mass production.
