Ubisoft has released a new trailer showing how it will support Rainbow Six Siege over the next year of the game. We are waiting for both new operatives and maps, as well as balance improvements, the fight against toxic players, and more.
During the seventh year, the Siege will return to four seasons: each will bring a new operator to the game, and in three of the four cases new maps are expected:
- Season 1 – Japanese Azami , Irish card Emerald Plains ;
- Season 2 – an operative from Belgium, a Greek map for ” Team Destruction “, that is, simply a “team deathmatch” (the list of “Team Destruction” games will be added in the first season);
- Season 3 – operative from Singapore, Singapore card;
- Season 4 – operative from Colombia.
And in the third season, they will introduce a reputation rating system and revise the system of rating games (including the reward system), after which, in the fourth season, they will introduce a system of punishments and rewards and add a permanent list of games with different versions of the Arcade mode that change weekly.
At the same time, work will be carried out on the console versions of the game: this applies to both adding match replay, and increasing the field of view, improving the recoil features of weapons, and more.
At the same time, Rainbow Six Siege wants to make it friendlier for newcomers and those who return to the shooter after a break. With the second season, a shooting range will appear in the game, and then other training zones will appear in the game. Also with the second season should add hints for each operative to understand their features.
Throughout the year, developers will change the balance, and much will be reworked. For example, it is expected that players will be able to control Zero ‘s cameras manually, and Bandit will be able to install multiple batteries on the same wall. The changes will also affect Dokkaebi along with Thatcher.
In terms of crossplay and crossprogress, Ubisoft has to disappoint players by noting that they will only launch at the end of Year 7, during Season 4.
You can learn more about all this and more in the video below. That being said, it is important to clarify that the plans of the developers may change with each season, and the roadmap will be updated over time.
