A blogger under the nickname PBKreviews assessed the maintainability of the third generation iPhone SE. The corresponding video is available on the YouTube channel of the author.
The specialist dismantled the new Apple smartphone to show its internal structure. According to the author, in the course of detaching the screen of the device, he had to warm it up with a hair dryer, and then pry off its front panel. The enthusiast noticed that a large number of components are hidden inside the phone, screwed on. Because of this, opening the iPhone SE and separating the main parts from it turned out to be difficult.
During the experiment, the blogger also drew attention to the large amount of glue and small elements. At the same time, the author emphasized that the main components are equipped with pulling tabs, which somewhat facilitate the removal of spare parts. In conclusion, the host of the PBKreviews channel noted that the iPhone SE is difficult to repair at home.
The specialist also found out the exact capacity of the smartphone’s battery – 2018 milliamp-hours. In comparison, the second-generation iPhone SE, released in 2020, was equipped with a 1821 milliamp-hour battery. The internal components of both smartphones were visually identical, but the new model has different connection connectors.
Earlier, BGR journalists said that the third-generation iPhone SE released in early March turned out to be a bestseller. Apple sold out the entire first batch of smartphones after opening pre-orders.
