Sony Acquires Raymond’s Haven Studios

Sony Acquires Raymond's Haven Studios

Last year, Sony announced that it was providing financial support to Jade Raymond’s new Montreal-based Haven Studios, which will create new intellectual property for the PlayStation. Clearly the relationship between Sony and Haven is going well because it has been announced that Haven is officially joining the PlayStation Studios roster.

Today, the Haven team begins a new chapter in their journey as part of the PlayStation Studios family. Working on the PlayStation team last year was a career highlight. SIE is a trusted partner that truly understands the creative process and what it takes to create a blockbuster AAA game. As SIE’s first studio, Haven will have the opportunity to collaborate with some of the top developers, including studios such as Guerrilla, Naughty Dog, Media Molecule and Insomniac Games. Haven has about 60 developers, and PlayStation Studios head Hermen Hulst says the progress on their first game is beyond expectations.
