Chucklefish said goodbye to the peaceful life simulator Stardew Valley . The studio took up its publication in 2015, and since then has managed to contribute to the console release, the release on mobile platforms and in the boxed edition. The company also participated in the release of the multiplayer mode and the appearance of a number of new localizations.
The last agreement, for an Android release, was made two years ago, and now the rights to this edition are returned to ConcernedApe and Eric Barone. Since then, the author of the game is fully responsible for its publication and support.
Barone has confirmed that work is ongoing on the 1.5 update for the mobile version of Stardew Valley. However, there were difficulties with it, mainly legal ones, and the preparation had already taken too much time. A new team is working on the update, and although the process is moving slowly, it will take even longer to find new artists.
Barone himself distanced himself from Chucklefish after the studio was accused of exploiting employees working on Starbound . Then he announced that he worked on Stardew Valley alone, and the studio only acted as the publisher of the game.
Author Stardew Valley and his studio ConcernedApe are currently working on a new game, Haunted Chocolatier . So far, nothing has been announced regarding future plans for other versions of Stardew Valley.
