The producer of the film adaptation of Metro 2033, Valery Fedorovich , said that work on the adaptation of Dmitry Glukhovsky ‘s novel had “paused”.
Details about the reasons for stopping production were not announced, however, it is known that in March, the company 1-2-3 Production , which is involved in the project, left its two founders.
The latest information about the film based on the story of the post-apocalypse in Moscow sounded last year , when January 1, 2024 was called a possible premiere date. The director was supposed to be the author of the tape “Outpost” Yegor Baranov , while Glukhovsky himself was involved in the script.
The creators tried to get financial support from the Cinema Fund for the film adaptation, but they were eventually refused.
