The analyst just revealed some interesting information about the 2023 Apple iPhone series. Apparently, one of the iPhone 15 series models will be equipped with a periscope lens that offers improved zoom capabilities.
iPhone 14 Pro
According to MacRumors, analyst Jeff Poo said in the report that the iPhone 15 Pro may have a periscope camera system that would allow the company to install a longer telephoto setting inside the device. In addition, it will also allow users to scale up even further without losing quality. The Cupertino giant has been rumored to have included a periscope lens on its iPhones for some time now, with the first mention of it coming from renowned Apple analyst Min-Chi Kuo back in 2020.
Earlier it was reported that the iPhone 14 Pro will be equipped with this camera technology. But now the latest report hints that the wait could be a full year longer. For now, the current premium flagship iPhone 13 offers 3x optical zoom on Pro models.
But with next-generation models, the iPhone can offer up to 10x optical zoom, allowing it to compete with the high-end Android phones on the market. Keep in mind that this is still an unconfirmed report, so grab it with a pinch of salt for now. It’s still too early to tell if the company is going to include this camera sensor in the iPhone 15 series, which is almost two years away.
