The Overwatch 2 closed beta will officially begin on April 26th. The developers have also confirmed additional details such as the requirement to own the first game in order to be eligible for the first closed beta, and this closed beta will only be available on PC, though future tests will also include consoles.
The preliminary system requirements for Overwatch 2 have also become known. Unfortunately, they do not mention the supported resolution, although 1080p seems like a fair guess.
Minimum system requirements:
- Operating system: Windows® 7 / Windows® 8 / Windows® 10 64-bit
- Processor: Intel® Core™ i3 or AMD Phenom™ X3 8650
- Video: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 600 Series, AMD Radeon™ HD 7000 Series
- Memory: 6GB RAM
- Storage: 50 GB free hard disk space
Recommended system requirements:
- Operating system: Windows® 10 64-bit
- Processor: Intel® Core™ i7 or AMD Ryzen™ 5
- Video: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1060 or AMD R9 380
- Memory: 8GB RAM
- Storage: 50 GB free hard disk space
The CPU requirements are the same, which isn’t surprising since Overwatch 2 should have similar graphics to the first game. However, the requirements for both memory and video card have grown.
