The Ministry of Digital Development will recommend to the governors to install Russian messengers, such an order was given to the head of the department Maksut Shadayev by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko .
According to Kommersant, VK has developed an “automated workplace for civil servants.” The service runs in a browser and includes mail, calendar, cloud storage and an internal portal.
The governors were recommended to use exclusively Russian messengers within the framework of official activities. Just before the end of next year, a federal state system will be created on the basis of the service. All officials will be connected to it.
Thus, the government wants to replace Telegram, WhatsApp, Microsoft Exchange, Google Docs, Zoom and Skype with domestic counterparts. It is noteworthy that many officials have their own channels in foreign messengers. One of these is Dmitry Medvedev, deputy head of the Russian Security Council, whose Telegram channel has nearly 340,000 subscribers.
